KOHAT: Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah, accompanied by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, attended a police passing-out parade in Hangu district, where newly trained police personnel presented an impressive ceremonial march.
Addressing the parade, the chief guests commended the recruits for their discipline, professional skills, and high training standards. They highlighted the police force’s frontline role in maintaining peace and safeguarding the lives and property of citizens. Deputy Inspector General of Police Kohat Irfan Tariq, senior district administration officials, and officers from relevant departments were also present on the occasion.
Later, Commissioner Syed Motasim Billah Shah chaired a high-level meeting to review the overall law and order situation across Kohat Division. The meeting was attended by the KP police chief, DIG Kohat, deputy commissioners of concerned districts, senior police officers, and representatives of security agencies.
A detailed assessment of the regional security situation, crime prevention strategies, and public safety initiatives was carried out. Officials were directed to take indiscriminate action against criminal elements and to further strengthen community-oriented policing.
The commissioner and the KP police chief reiterated that the government is utilizing all available resources to ensure public safety, stressing the importance of enhanced coordination between the district administration and the police to further improve law and order in the division.
