Under the auspices of Hisban Media Network, a dignified and purposeful literary ceremony was held in honor of the renowned poet, researcher, critic, and literary figure Dr. Anwar Nagar. The event was attended by prominent personalities from the fields of literature, journalism, and society.
The ceremony was presided over by senior poet and a leading figure in organized literary circles in Bajaur, Muhammad Khan Bajauri, while Dr. Anwar Nagar was the chief guest. The guests of honor included Javed Khayal, a well-known political, social, and academic personality and PhD scholar from District Dir; renowned poet Bacha Zada Hairan; and Dr. Anwar Nagar’s respected father. The event was hosted by senior member of Hisban Media Network, renowned journalist, and radio broadcaster Irfanullah Jan.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Anwar Nagar was accorded a warm and dignified welcome. Bouquets were presented to him by representatives of Hisban Media Network and the participants. Renowned radio presenter and poet Nazir Gul Nadan presented Dr. Anwar Nagar with a traditional pakol on behalf of the network, while Irfanullah Jan presented a certificate of appreciation from Hisban Media Network.
The proceedings were conducted by well-known journalist and poet Anwarzada Gulyar, while the recitation of the Holy Quran was performed by Ashna Bajauri. During the ceremony, Qadir Khan Sayal, Umar Hayat, and the president of the session Muhammad Khan Bajauri presented poetic tributes in honor of Dr. Anwar Nagar. Renowned poet Bacha Zada Hairan further enriched the gathering by presenting his poetry along with his prose remarks. Former Assistant Education Officer Mian Abdul Rehman offered a detailed commentary on Dr. Anwar Nagar’s poetry and intellectual dimensions, highlighting his literary stature.
On this occasion, Ashna Bajauri, Ishaq Utmankhel, and Javed Khayal presented summaries of research papers written on Dr. Anwar Nagar’s life, art, and thought, paying tribute to his literary and research contributions. The speakers stated that Dr. Anwar Nagar is a multifaceted literary personality of Bajaur who, besides being a poet, holds a distinguished position as a researcher, critic, author, and translator. They added that he has played responsible roles in various literary organizations and, as President of the Bajaur Culture Association, rendered significant services for the promotion of literary and cultural activities in the region.
The participants appreciated this literary and journalistic initiative of Hisban Media Network and expressed hope that such positive collaboration between literature and journalism would continue in the future. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Anwar Nagar thanked Hisban Media Network and all the participants, stating that such activities are exemplary models of positive journalism, contributing to intellectual growth and positive change in society.
