Peshawar: Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud, met with Yahan Gul Khattak, Inspector General of Prisons Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at the Commissioner’s Office in Peshawar today.
During the meeting, both officials discussed strategies to strengthen coordination between the divisional administration and the provincial prison department. Key points included improving administrative oversight, ensuring effective management of prison facilities, and enhancing security measures across correctional institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of timely communication and collaboration between local authorities and prison officials to address emerging challenges and maintain smooth operations within the province’s correctional system.
Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud appreciated the efforts of the KP Prisons Department in maintaining discipline and providing a secure environment for inmates, while Inspector General Yahan Gul Khattak highlighted ongoing initiatives to improve prison infrastructure and administrative efficiency.
Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to working closely to ensure the welfare of prison staff and inmates, and to promote an organized and transparent prison management system across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
