UPPER WAZIRSTAN: The students and parents of Girls Middle School Sararogha have demanded that the girls should not be deprived of the blessing of education. According to the parents, the Female Education Office seems determined to ruin the school.
Sources reveal that the District Education Officer (DEO) Sabira, Deputy DEO Afsana, SDO, and ADI Shakhubana from the Female Education Office have been frequently transferring the school’s teachers. At present, the entire school is being run with only three teachers, most of whom attend the school for only five days in a month.
Parents stated that at times, primary-pass women are hired for ten thousand rupees as “proxies” to teach, while the actual teachers leave.
The local community and parents have repeatedly submitted applications to Tehsil Chairman Ladha Haji Taj Malook and the Female Education Office, but no action has been taken.
The protesters said that their demonstration will continue until a headmaster along with a full staff is appointed at Girls Middle School Sararogha.
They further demanded that the PTC (Parent Teacher Council) funds, which have not yet been utilized, must be spent according to the law.
