Cash relief distributed among affected families in Swabi

PESHAWAR: In a strong show of solidarity, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s Provincial Ameer Senator Atta ur Rehman, Senator Atta ul Haq Darwaish, and Former Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali visited flood-hit areas of District Swabi to stand with the victims and provide muchneeded support. During the visit, more than 70 affected families were provided cash assistance as part of a goodwill initiative supported by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce, President Abu Zar Shad, Khawaja Shahzaib Akram, and other members of the business community. The delegation, accompanied by former provincial ministers Maulana Fazal Ali Haqqani and Amanullah Haqqani, Provincial Finance Secretary Noor-ul Islam, Tehsil Chairman Muhammad Raheem Jadoon, Swabi Chamber President Fazal Raheem Jadoon, and district administration officials, assured flood victims that they are not alone in this difficult time. “Flood victims should not consider themselves abandoned. We all stand by them and will ensure that relief reaches Buner, Swat, and every affected district,” said Senator Atta ur Rehman and Senator Atta ul Haq Darwaish. Former Governor Haji Ghulam Ali emphasized that natural disasters are a test of patience and resilience: “We must not lose hope. Humanity demands that we support one another in times of trial. Every capable citizen has a responsibility to step forward and assist flood-affected brothers and sisters.” The delegation highlighted the appeal of JUI Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who had urged citizens and the business community nationwide to support flood victims. They also praised JUI workers for their tireless relief and rehabilitation efforts in affected areas. Local communities expressed gratitude to the JUI leadership, Former Governor Ghulam Ali, Lahore Chamber of Commerce, and the broader business community for their solidarity, generosity, and timely assistance.
