PESHAWAR: An Education Conference was organized under the auspices of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Saidu Sharif, Swat, attended by a large number of participants, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives, Fazal Hakim Khan Yousafzai, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Arbab Muhammad Asim Khan, Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education, Muhammad Khalid Khan, Director Education, Dr. Naheed Anjum, Chairman Swat Board, Professor Tasbihullah, as well as District Education Officers (male and female) from Swat, Buner, and Shangla, principals of government schools, teachers, and students. During the conference, principals and teachers presented important suggestions regarding the progress and improvement of the education department and highlighted the challenges they face. The board administration assured prompt resolution of the issues faced by teachers and school principals. On this occasion, Provincial Minister Fazal Hakim Khan Yousafzai and Special Assistant Arbab Muhammad Asim Khan distributed certificates of appreciation to principals and teachers who demonstrated outstanding performance, as well as certificates to students who secured prominent positions. Addressing the conference, Special Assistant for Elementary and Secondary Education Arbab Muhammad Asim Khan stated that the Swat Board’s excellent organization of the Education Conference is commendable. He noted that the suggestions provided by teachers, principals, and the board administration have offered valuable guidance for improving the education system. He emphasized that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has prioritized merit in the education sector from the outset, ensuring transparent teacher recruitment, a process that continues today. He added that further revolutionary steps will be taken in the education department to enable government educational institutions to compete not only with the private sector but also at an international level in terms of educational quality. He urged teachers to focus on the better education and training of children to play their role in shaping a responsible and improved society.
