Peshawar: The 10th annual awards ceremony organized by Afghan TV was held in a splendid, colorful, and dignified manner, honoring prominent personalities from various walks of life for their valuable contributions. The prestigious event took place at Elegance Arena, Peshawar, and was attended by a large number of notable figures from the fields of literature, journalism, culture, social services, education, health, sports, fine arts, digital media, and other sectors.
The ceremony was presided over by renowned Pashto poet Rahmat Shah Sail. Distinguished guests included Ajmal Khan Mohmand, Khaji Bostan, Muhammad Arslan Marwat, Mazhar Ali Khan, Malik Abdullah Wazir, Nawar Khan Wazir, Nisar Muhammad Khan, Anwar Bangash, and other eminent personalities from different fields.
In recognition of outstanding services in literature, awards were presented to Nadir Darpakhel, Dr. Siraj Muhammad Khattak, Pareshan Mehsud, Ahmad Jan Marwat, Dr. Tariq Mahmood Danish, Sadat Sahar Khattak, Ahmad Ali Hairan Dawar, Hamdullah Jan Bismil, Dr. Kaleem Shinwari, Ghazal Mohmand, Mehboob Gul Yasir, Dr. Faqir Muhammad Faqir, Faji Gul Faji, Khalid Khan Hasrat, Professor Gohar Naveed, Zarnosh Shahab, Zareef Khan (Humnawazi), Saeed Ahmad Sahil, Lal Zada Sagar, Izhar Ahmad Izhar, Hakeemullah Sakin, Mukhtiar Ahmad Shaheen, Meem Ray Shafaq, Baseer Bedar Stori, Feroz Khan Afridi, and Muhammad Abid Khan.
In the fields of Pashto Naat and Hamd, Professor Dr. Irfan Khattak (Pashto Naat) and Atlas Gul Atlas (Pashto Hamd) were honored with awards.
For social services, awards were given to Sarfraz Mohmand, Qari Ibrahim Shah, Adil Khan, and Fizza Hussain. In journalism and culture, Shamim Shahid (journalism) and Abdullah Shah Baghdadi (culture) received awards.
In sports, awards were presented to Ejaz Khan, Malaika Noor, Tauqeer Ali, and Muhammad Ajmal for their outstanding performances. In health and community services, Dr. Muhammad Izhar, Dr. Mian Saeed, and Rehmanullah Khan were recognized.
In drama and performing arts, Ajab Gul, Zardad Bulbul, and Ismail Shahid were awarded, while Huma Khan and Aleena Khan received awards as Best Artists. In the digital and talent categories, Wardah Sultan (Digital Creator) and Qudsia Bano (Talent Achievement) were honored.
In the field of education and research, awards were conferred upon Ishrat Bano, Dr. Bushra Khan, and Dr. Nargis Jameela. Wajid Ali Shinwari was honored for his notable contributions to Pak-Afghan trade.
A special tribute was paid to the late Jawad Khan for his selfless act of organ donation, with the award presented to his family members as a mark of respect.
On the occasion, the services of Afghan TV Executive Director Syed Adnan Shah were also warmly appreciated. Speakers and participants paid rich tribute to his tireless efforts for the promotion of the Pashto language, culture, and literature, describing his contributions as commendable and impactful.
Alongside the distribution of awards, artists presented captivating performances, adding to the vibrancy of the event. Participants termed Afghan TV’s initiative a significant step toward promoting culture, literature, and social harmony.
