All Pakistan Inter-University Women’s Handball Championship begins in Peshawar

Peshawar: The Inter-University Women’s Handball Championship, organized by the Directorate of Sports Peshawar University and in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, began yesterday at Jinnah College Ground in Peshawar. Jinnah College for Women Principal Professor Dr. Gul Naz Arshad formally inaugurated the competition by cutting the ribbon. He was accompanied by Director Sports (Women) Miss Chaman Gul, Director Sports Peshawar University Bahr Karam Khan, Head of Department Sports Government College Peshawar Arshad Hussain, Director Sports Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Miss Maria Samin, Ahsan Khan and other dignitaries were present. Teams from fourteen universities from across the country are participating in the competition, including the host University of Peshawar, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Superior University Lahore, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, University of Faisalabad, University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, University of Management and Technology Lahore, University of Lahore, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Peshawar, Lahore College for Women University Lahore, University of Punjab Lahore, Government College Women University Sialkot, Garrison University Lahore, Government College University Lahore are involved. In the first match, the Punjab University Lahore team defeated the University of Lahore 19-0, while in the second one-sided match, the Lahore College Women University defeated the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan team 18-0.
