AVIR: The cricket tournament in Avir concluded with a spirited final match, where Avir Baram emerged victorious over Riri after an exciting contest. The ground was filled with spectators who applauded every fine performance throughout the game.
Prominent socio-political figures, including Former Chairman Nasir Ali Shah, Village Chairman Lal Rehman, Ehsan Jan, and Ismail Ali Shah, attended the closing ceremony. President Press Club Upper Chitral Muhammad Ali Mujahid graced the event as the chief guest.
Former Chairman Nasir Ali Shah commended the media’s positive role and urged for practical steps towards Avir’s development, citing delayed road projects and poor mobile network performance as major concerns. He stressed that future events should be organized in Avir to boost opportunities for youth.
Village Chairman Lal Rehman praised the extraordinary sports talent of Avir’s youth and called for improved sports infrastructure to enable them to represent the country at the national level.
Chief Guest Muhammad Ali Mujahid congratulated the organizers and players, assuring that the Press Club Upper Chitral will continue to raise local issues and highlight the region’s potential.
The event concluded with prize distribution and a festive atmosphere, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship.
