His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Azad Marshall was unanimously re-elected as the Archbishop of the Church of Pakistan during the 17th Triennial Council meeting held at the Church of Pakistan, St. Thomas Centre, Lahore, in November 2025. The session of the 17th Triennial Council under the auspices of the Church of Pakistan began, which is significant in the history of the Church of Pakistan.
Messages of prayer and encouragement from Bishop Anthony Pogo, General Secretary of the Anglican Communion, were read and presented to the Council.
Archbishop Hossam Naom, Archbishop of Jerusalem and Archbishop Emeritus Foley Beach of ACNA, and others, delegates expressed international solidarity for the successful operation of SAND. Emphasized the need to highlight the global fellowship, unity, and spiritual awareness of the Church of Pakistan within the Anglican Church and the Church.
Reverend Bishop Dr. Azad Marshall was re-elected to lead the Moderator Church of Pakistan as Archbishop of the Church of Pakistan. The Synod has unanimously elected the full leadership of the Church of Pakistan for the next term, including His Excellency Archbishop Dr. Azad Marshal Archbishop / Moderator, Bishop Kaleem John Deputy Moderator, Shehzad Khurram General Secretary, Mrs. Honey Sadaf Treasurer, the newly elected Executive Committee, was elected by the Synod Council of the Church of Pakistan by unanimous vote.
Moderator Dr. Azad Marshall, while reciting the Holy Scriptures, urged the participants to strive wholeheartedly for the strengthening of the faith and faith that the saints have been aiming for and special. He also expressed his gratitude for the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea 325 AD, which was recognized as an important milestone that unified and preserved the basic Christian doctrine.
The new book Jerusalem to Taxila by His Excellency Archbishop Dr. Azad Marshall was officially inaugurated in the Sand Council meeting. Unanimously submitted for publication by the Bishops of the Church of Pakistan and endorsed, it was recognized as scholarly and useful for the guidance of the priesthood.
The book’s notable subjects include pastors and lay ministries, theological students, Christian educators and leaders, and a wide Christian readership. The book has been hailed as a valuable intellectual and theological asset for the Church in Pakistan and beyond. Expressed heartfelt thanks and emphasized the need to reaffirm the mission of the church and strengthen the vision of the leadership.
Expressing his vision, the Archbishop said that strengthening the Christian community, fighting for minority rights and dignity, promoting peace and interfaith harmony, cooperating with civil and government institutions, expanding educational and welfare initiatives, promoting national and international ecclesiastical cooperation.
