Azerbaijan Roadshow Engages Pakistan’s Travel Industry

ISLAMABAD: The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) successfully concluded its Pakistan Roadshow, held from October 27 to 31, 2025, across three major cities — Lahore (October 27), Karachi (October 29), and Islamabad (October 31).

The roadshow brought together over 200 representatives from Pakistan’s travel trade sector and 21 media professionals, connecting them with key Azerbaijani tourism stakeholders. Among the five leading partners from Azerbaijan’s tourism industry were Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Shahdag Mountain Resort, and the Absheron Hotel Group (AHG), along with top hotel chains and destination management companies.

Participants showcased Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings, ranging from cultural and heritage travel to adventure, wellness, and MICE tourism. The sessions emphasized the country’s accessibility, safety, and appeal as a year-round destination for Pakistani travelers.

During the B2B meetings, participants explored new avenues for collaboration and discussed strategies to enhance travel connectivity and tourism promotion between the two countries. Presentations featured family-friendly attractions, ski and mountain resorts, wellness retreats, and upcoming international events.

The Islamabad segment concluded with a networking dinner and media briefing, attended by Mr. Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, and Mr. Samir Ahmedli, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Pakistan.

With a rising number of Pakistani visitors in recent years, the roadshow reinforced the growing tourism ties between the two nations and highlighted Azerbaijan as a destination where East meets West rich in culture, hospitality, and natural beauty.
