Peshawar: The Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has initiated effective practical measures under the principles of good governance by implementing the policy of “Right Man, Right Job, Right Posting,” thereby resolving a long-standing issue in the education sector. As part of this process, all officers and officials posted on deputation and detailment in violation of rules were sent back to their respective parent departments. Many of these officials had been serving in the education sector for the past fifteen years.
Commenting on the development, Chairman of the All Pakistan Secretariat Group, Zafar Khan Yousafzai, stated that in previous tenures, the All Pakistan Coordination Council had submitted several applications and complaints regarding this issue; however, no meaningful results were achieved at that time. He termed the current initiative a commendable step and a practical demonstration of good governance.
Zafar Khan Yousafzai paid tribute to the Minister for Education and the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for taking a timely and principled decision. He expressed the hope that similar action would be taken in other provincial departments by repatriating officers and staff posted from outside departments to their parent departments in order to promote transparency and institutional efficiency.
He further stated that the All Pakistan Secretariat Coordination Council would continue to extend full cooperation at all levels for the promotion of good governance, transparency, and the supremacy of merit.
