KURRAM: Deputy Commissioner Kurram Ashfaq Khan hosted an interactive session with students from Khyber Medical University, Government Polytechnic Institute and Postgraduate College Parachinar to discuss development, education and peace initiatives in the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner (F&P) Shaukat Ali and senior security officials were also present.
During the session, discussions focused on district development projects, improving educational standards, strengthening public trust in government and ensuring law and order. Students shared suggestions and ideas, which were praised and encouraged by the Deputy Commissioner.
Ashfaq Khan emphasized that youth are the most valuable asset of the society and sustainable development cannot be achieved without their active engagement. He announced a provincial-level seminar on youth, peace and development, to be followed by similar events in Upper, Lower, and Central Kurram, giving students a platform to contribute and engage.
The session concluded with KMU student and author Kashif Hussain presenting his book “Charagh-e-Yaqeen” to the Deputy Commissioner, who commended the author and wished him success. The initiative was welcomed by the local educational institutions as a key step toward promoting youth participation and educational awareness in Kurram District.
