KOHAT: Deputy Commissioner Kohat Rahimullah Mehsud has chaired a meeting on Tuesday to review the arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ processions and related events in the district.
The meeting which held at the DC office, was attended by the Member Provincial Assembly Shafiullah Jan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Hamid Iqbal, police officials, representatives of the Milad committee, traders, peace committee members and officials from the relevant departments.
The meeting reviewed security and administrative measures, including cleanliness of the procession routes, repair of streetlights, provision of drinking water, parking facilities, traffic diversion plans and emergency medical services.
Mehsud directed the departments concerned to ensure timely and effective implementation of all arrangements, saying the administration’s priority was to provide citizens with “the best facilities and a peaceful environment” during the celebrations.
Shafi Jan said, the processions were an important part of the religious heritage and assured full cooperation with the district administration to ensure “foolproof security and public convenience.”
DC Kohat directed the TMA to launch a special cleanliness drive and make drainage arrangements, while WAPDA was asked to provide uninterrupted power supply. Police were instructed to ensure security along all the procession routes.
The meeting concluded with a special prayer for the peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
