DG ISPR Session Urges Youth to Counter Digital Propaganda

Staff Report

Rawalpindi: A special interactive session was held with students participating in the DG ISPR Winter Internship Program 2026 in Rawalpindi. The session featured a comprehensive and clear discussion on national security, prevailing internal and external challenges, and the critical role of youth in safeguarding national interests, particularly in the digital domain.

During the discussion, students highlighted that just as the Pakistan Army demonstrated courage, resilience, and steadfastness against the enemy during the Battle of Truth, the youth of today must also stand firm against hostile propaganda and negative narratives being spread on digital and social media platforms.

The participants emphasized that information circulated on social media should not be accepted blindly. They stressed that it is the responsibility of every aware and responsible citizen to verify information from authentic and credible sources before sharing or forming opinions.

According to the students, the session significantly enhanced their understanding of national issues and helped them clearly distinguish between right and wrong. They noted that such engagements play a vital role in developing informed, responsible, and vigilant citizens.

The students further stated that the most effective weapon against Fitnat-ul-Hind and Fitnat-ul-Kharij is a strong and credible narrative rooted in knowledge, research, and truth. They underscored that intellectual clarity and factual awareness are essential to counter disinformation campaigns.

At the conclusion of the session, the students reaffirmed their commitment to play an active role in defending national interests by becoming responsible guardians of Pakistan’s positive narrative on the digital front and contributing constructively to national cohesion and stability.
