UPPER DIR: District Police Officer Upper Dir Aslam Nawaz has directed the police to intensify action against usurers, underage drivers, and drug peddlers in the district. He also appealed to the public and media to cooperate with the police in this regard.
Addressing the media, Aslam Nawaz said that the police will eliminate social evils like usury, underage driving, and drug peddling from the society. He directed the police to maintain close contact with the public and to take strict action against those involved in these crimes.
The DPO also directed the traffic police to take action against motorcyclists who engage in stunts, underage drivers, and those who use flashlights, horns, and emergency lights in vehicles at night. He said that the police will take strict action against those who violate these rules.
Aslam Nawaz said that the media is the eye of society and plays an important role in highlighting issues and incidents. He appealed to the media to play a constructive role in eliminating crimes like theft, robbery, and other social evils.
He said that the police are the servants of the people and that Upper Dir is a peaceful district, where national and foreign tourists come to enjoy the beautiful and natural scenery without any fear. He thanked the people of Dir for supporting the government and police in their efforts to eliminate crime and maintain peace in the district.
