Bajaur: District Police Officer (DPO) Bajaur Muhammad Khalid (PSP) visited the Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) office and the Police Facilitation Center, where he issued directives to ensure the peaceful resolution of disputes and improved public services.
According to the police, DPO Bajaur, accompanied by DSP Circle Khar Abdul Aziz, visited the DRC office and held a meeting with the council members. On this occasion, he reviewed the performance of the DRC and discussed the issues and resource requirements faced by the council. The DPO also directed that further steps be taken to make the council more active and to strengthen the working coordination between the local police and the DRC.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Muhammad Khalid said that the role of the DRC in establishing lasting peace in the region is extremely important and commendable. He said the platform is playing a significant role in providing free and swift justice to the public at their doorstep and has emerged as an effective alternative to the traditional Pashtun Jirga system. He urged the council members to resolve disputes in accordance with local traditions and the law with honesty, goodwill, and transparency.
Meanwhile, the DPO also paid a surprise visit to the Police Facilitation Center and reviewed the facilities being provided there. During the visit, he inspected the waiting area, service counters, and other arrangements, and directed the staff to treat citizens with courtesy and resolve their issues on a priority basis.
The DPO said that the purpose of the Police Facilitation Center is to provide citizens with easy, prompt, and dignified services. He reiterated that every possible step would be taken to ensure better services for the public.
It is worth mentioning that the Police Facilitation Center provides several services under one roof, including Police Clearance Certificates, Driving Licenses, Tenant Registration, and other public facilities. This initiative has not only made services more accessible to citizens but has also saved their valuable time and reduced the need for unnecessary visits to different offices.
