Engr. Muhammad Irfan, defends his Ph.D. dissertation

Peshawar: Engr. Muhammad Irfan, Ph.D. scholar, Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, US–Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E), UET Peshawar successfully defended his Ph.D thesis today at the Video Conference Hall, UET Peshawar. His research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Arif Khattak, USPCAS-E and Director ORIC, UET Peshawar.

The title of his Ph.D. thesis was “Development of Novel Design for High-Efficiency InGaN-Based Multi-Junction Solar Cells.” Engr. Irfan presented his research findings in an open-house seminar, followed by a viva-voce examination conducted by the Examination Committee.

The defense was attended by Vice Chancellor UET Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Sadiq Khattak, faculty members, researchers, and experts from relevant fields. Congratulating the scholar, his supervisor, and the Research Evaluation Committee (REC), the Vice Chancellor emphasized that innovation in solar energy is the need of the hour to address the country’s energy challenges. He added that our researchers possess the capability to develop practical solutions, and such research must be recognized and effectively utilized for national development.
