MALAKAND: In a recent transparent and merit-based appointment by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fayyaz Sherpao has officially taken charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Malakand. He assumed his responsibilities in Dargai and immediately began convening meetings with the district administration.
Fayyaz Sherpao is recognized as a senior, experienced, and proactive officer. He has previously served as Deputy Commissioner in key districts such as Mardan, Bajaur, Shangla, and Torghar, where he played a vital role not only in maintaining law and order but also in effectively supervising development projects.
His new posting has been warmly welcomed by public circles, social figures, and government employees alike. Notably, during his tenure in Bajaur, he was highly praised for his effective leadership in combating the COVID-19 pandemic and running anti-polio campaigns.
Soon after assuming office in Dargai, Fayyaz Sherpao met with the heads of various departments and issued directives to swiftly implement public welfare policies. Speaking on the occasion, he stated:
“Merit, transparency, and public service are my top priorities. Rule of law and acceleration in development work will be ensured in Malakand.”
He is known for his integrity and people-friendly approach, and based on his past track record, the public holds high hopes for positive change under his leadership.
