Peshawar:
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, while addressing a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally in Hayatabad yesterday, said that the provincial capital Peshawar is the heart of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and its people deserve the level of development, facilities, and peace that they are truly entitled to. He said that several projects are already underway to develop Peshawar into a modern, secure, and well-equipped city, and new initiatives will also be launched soon. According to him, a comprehensive strategy is being prepared to strengthen the city’s traffic management, health, education, and security systems, while special focus is being placed on increasing employment opportunities for the youth.

Sohail Afridi stated in his speech that the people of Peshawar have always supported change and transparent governance, and the government is doing everything possible to fulfill their expectations. He assured that the development of Peshawar and the welfare of its citizens are his top priorities, and no delay will be tolerated in funds or projects meant for the city.

During his address, the Chief Minister strongly criticized the federal government, saying that the current federal administrative policies have hindered the development process of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that the delay in releasing the province’s rightful share of resources has slowed down public projects, while inflation and economic pressure from the federal level have created severe hardships for the people. He demanded that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s constitutional share be released immediately so that the development process can continue without interruption.

In conclusion, the Chief Minister thanked the workers and the people, saying that the public strength of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the true power of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, and the province’s journey towards progress will continue with the support of its people.
