Dera Ismail Khan: Funeral prayers of the police personnel martyred in the Police Training School attack were offered with full official honors at Police Lines Dera. The solemn ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Zafarul Islam, RPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasser Khan, DPO Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, civil and military officials, members of the Amin Committee, civil society representatives, local dignitaries, public representatives, and media personnel in large numbers.
A police contingent presented a salute to the martyrs as their coffins, draped in the national flag, were adorned with floral wreaths by civil and military officers. Prayers were offered for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and patience for their bereaved families.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced a martyrs’ package, including Rs. 10 million for the families of the martyred personnel and Rs. 5 million for the injured. He also announced Rs. 10 million as a reward for the soldiers and officers who displayed exceptional bravery during the operation.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister paid rich tribute to the martyrs, stating that the sacrifices of the police are unforgettable. “I salute the unwavering resolve of our police and security forces in the fight against terrorism. Their bravery and sacrifices will always be a source of pride,” he said.
Police officials reaffirmed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has always stood as a symbol of courage and sacrifice. During the terrorist attack, the police responded promptly and bravely, eliminating the attackers and preventing greater loss of life, particularly among the large number of recruits at the training school.
District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada added that CTD teams are collecting further evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
