Gomal University Achieves Milestone with 52.5 Points in HEC ORIC Scorecard

Dera Ismail Khan: Gomal University has crossed a historic milestone by securing 52.5 points in the HEC ORIC scorecard for the first time in its history. This achievement marks a significant step toward advancing research, innovation, and commercialization at the university.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal formally submitted the self-assessment report on the HEC portal and commended the ORIC team for their outstanding performance. He stated that this success reflects the university’s commitment to promoting a research culture, implementing innovative projects, and enhancing its academic standing.

The Vice Chancellor extended special congratulations to the ORIC team, including Director Dr. Muhammad Adeel, Manager Research Support Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa, Dr. Asif Awan, and Ramzan Babar, recognizing their dedication and hard work.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal further announced that this accomplishment has paved the way for the establishment of a Business Incubation Center (BIC) at Gomal University. The BIC will help transfer research outcomes to the industrial and commercial sectors, creating strong linkages between students, faculty, and local industry. He emphasized that this initiative will play a vital role in the socio-economic development of the region.
