Import-Export Training Session Held in Collaboration with SMEDA at Haripur Chamber

Haripur – An important Import-Export Training Session was organized at the Haripur Chamber of Commerce & Industry in collaboration with SMEDA, under the supervision of Malik Umair Khalid, President Haripur Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Syed Ahmed Jan Sikandar, Chairman Import Export Committee.

The session was attended by Abdul Basit, Dr. Noman Amjid, Executive Members of Civil Society, and students from PAF-IAST University, who actively participated and appreciated the interactive learning environment.

Speaking on the occasion, President Malik Umair Khalid highlighted the vital role of such capacity-building programs in equipping the youth with practical knowledge of international trade. He emphasized that empowering students with import-export skills is crucial for strengthening Pakistan’s economic outlook and promoting entrepreneurship.

Chairman Syed Ahmed Jan Sikandar noted that the training aims to bridge the knowledge gap faced by new entrants in the global market. “These initiatives not only enhance students’ understanding but also empower the local business community by providing updated insights and practical tools for expanding their businesses internationally,” he said.

Members of the business community expressed their appreciation for the Chamber’s efforts, stressing that such trainings can bring meaningful change to society. They added that continuous professional development programs are essential for sustainable business growth and improving competitiveness in international markets.

The Haripur Chamber announced that more similar training sessions will be conducted in the future to further strengthen local capacity and encourage youth participation in global trade.
