PESHAWAR: Chief Executive Officer of Markhor Group of Companies, Nabeel Afridi, has said that sincere efforts to promote Pak–China trade will yield positive results and open new avenues for investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking during his visit to the Chinese Cultural Center China Window in Peshawar, Nabeel Afridi expressed confidence that the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor will not only strengthen Pakistan’s economy but also help reduce unemployment and bring prosperity to the province.
During the visit, he toured various galleries of the center and showed keen interest in its cultural and educational initiatives. He said that China has always safeguarded Pakistan’s interests and that Pak–China friendship is globally acknowledged, with CPEC standing as a major symbol of this commitment.
Rejecting the perception that investment is not possible in Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to law and order concerns, he stated that industrialists and investors must play a positive and constructive role while addressing existing challenges.
Appreciating China Window’s efforts in teaching the Chinese language and offering free scholarships, Nabeel Afridi announced that Markhor Group of Companies would fully support male and female students from across the province who wish to pursue higher education in China by facilitating admissions to Chinese universities and colleges.

Congratulating the people of both countries on the 75th anniversary of Pak–China friendship, he termed China a time-tested friend of Pakistan and expressed confidence that bilateral relations would grow even stronger in the future.
Highlighting the importance of the second phase of CPEC, he said it would usher in technological transformation and, through new industries in Special Economic Zones, generate employment for millions.
Praising China Window, he remarked that visiting the center gives the feeling of being in a Chinese city and described it as a remarkable hub of Pak–China friendship.
