RAWALPINDI, 6 September 2025: On the occasion of Defence and Martyrs’ Day, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a new documentary titled War Heroes of September, highlighting the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces during the 1965 war.
The documentary features firsthand accounts from decorated war veterans including Major General (Retd) Zahid Mahmood, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military); Air Marshal (Retd) Masood Akhtar, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military); and Rear Admiral (Retd) Fawad Amin Baig, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).
They recalled their battlefield experiences, the spirit of sacrifice, and the unwavering faith in Allah during critical moments of war. Rear Admiral (Retd) Fawad Amin Baig highlighted the maritime victories, while Major General (Retd) Zahid Mahmood and Air Marshal (Retd) Masood Akhtar emphasized the unyielding determination of Pakistan’s forces.
The documentary reflects the enduring bond between the Pakistan Armed Forces and the nation, portraying the oath of sacrifice and the resolve to defend the homeland at all costs.
