PESHAWAR: Elections for the Chitral Nurses Forum (CNF) were held on Saturday through a WhatsApp poll, with nurse officers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and Karachi participating.
According to the results, former president Jaghfaryad Hussain secured a second term after obtaining 243 votes. Former chairperson Farida Faraz received 149 votes, while Jabeen Gul secured 11 votes.
The elections were announced three months in advance, with three candidates contesting the polls. Voting was conducted from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and was later extended until 5:00 pm at the request of a candidate.
After the close of polling, votes were counted and the results were shared with members across all forum groups.
Focal Person of the Chitral Nurses Forum, Hasina Ishaq, thanked the members for ensuring a peaceful and orderly polling process.
