JAMRUD: The Jamrud Press Club elections for 2026 have been completed, and the new cabinet has been announced. Zahir Shah Afridi has been elected as President, Shahzad Afridi as General Secretary, and Shafaat Afridi as Finance Secretary. Other office bearers include Amirzada as Vice President, Muhammad Arif Afridi as Senior Vice President, Ali Akbar Afridi as Joint Secretary, and Karamatullah as Press Secretary, who were elected unopposed.
The polling process started at 9 am and continued peacefully until 1 pm without any disruptions. The Election Committee Chairman, Awal Sher Khan, officially announced the results. Observers from the Khyber Bar Association, including President Abrar and Taj Mahal Afridi, monitored the election process and declared it transparent and fair.
The newly elected cabinet has vowed to strengthen the Jamrud Press Club, resolve journalists’ issues, protect their rights, and play an effective role in their welfare.
