Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cycling Association has announced the men’s and women’s teams of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the 70th National Track Cycling Championship. Yesterday, trials were held on Northern Bypass Road Peshawar for the selection of the team, in which Sarmad Shabab International Coach, President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cycling Association Engineer Syed Shayan Ali Shah, Muhammad Ali Secretary General, Murad Ali Secretary Peshawar Division, Syed Tahir Shah and Chairman Selection Committee Nisar Ahmed conducted trials and selected the teams consisting of the best performing players. According to which, the selected men’s team includes ‘Sajid Ali Khan, Haroon Khan, Umar Farooq, Sanaullah, Ubaidullah and Saad in the junior cyclists, while the players selected in the women’s team include Nimrah, Rana, Mehak, while Sana is included in the junior category. Nazia Khan and Muhammad Ali have been selected as team officials. According to Chairman Selection Committee Nisar Ahmed, both The teams are participating in the National Cycling Championship starting in Lahore on November 15, for which both teams have started preparations and it is hoped that our athletes will perform well in the national competitions.
