KPHCC to intensify awareness for it’s role in anti-quackery

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission has decided to intensify its awareness campaign aimed at highlighting the Commission’s role and eliminating the menace of quackery. According to Commission spokesperson Azam Rahman, a series of awareness seminars and programs will be organized across various districts of the province to provide the public with accurate information about healthcare services.
As part of this initiative, an awareness seminar was held yesterday at the Civil Hospital in Akora Khattak, Nowshera, where a large number of local residents, community elders, and medical staff participated. During the session, speakers described quackery as a grave threat to society, warning that quacks are playing with the health and lives of people.
Commission inspectors highlighted the ongoing actions against quackery, measures taken to ensure the provision of quality healthcare facilities, and the legal proceedings initiated against unauthorized practitioners. Participants praised the Commission’s efforts and pledged that, as responsible citizens, they would never seek treatment from quacks and would play their part in eradicating this social evil.
On the occasion, inspectors also briefed participants on the procedure for filing online complaints, enabling citizens to directly support the Commission’s actions against quackery.
