The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has started the Second Phase of the “Economic Empowerment of Vulnerable Households in Pakistan through Livestock Provision Project.” Under this phase, 1,000 beneficiary households from Swat, Swabi, Haripur, and Mansehra are receiving a comprehensive poultry support package, which includes 25 poultry birds per family, a complete poultry kit (50 kg feed, two sets of feeders, one drinker, egg tray, and mesh), as well as training on poultry management and income generation provided by the Livestock Department. This support aims to help families develop sustainable, small-scale livestock-based livelihood opportunities.
The project is being implemented by the Peace and Development Organization (PADO) in collaboration with the Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Department (RRSD), PDMA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the local administration. It aims to strengthen economic resilience and improve food security for vulnerable households across the four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Through this phase, the project continues to promote self-reliance, dignified income generation, improved household nutrition, and long-term economic stability, reflecting KSrelief’s ongoing commitment to empowering vulnerable communities across Pakistan.
