Mashaal VP, a leading social welfare organization, has conferred the Best Anchorperson (Current Affairs) 2025 Award on Dr. Bakht Zaman, Assistant Professor at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Peshawar, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to journalism and broadcasting.
The award was presented by Mr. Ibrahim Kamal, General Manager PTV Peshawar, during a ceremony held at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar. Dr. Bakht Zaman has over 25 years of experience as an anchorperson with Pakistan Television (PTV) and is widely known for his thought-provoking current affairs program covering politics, economy, law and order, culture, women empowerment, climate change, youth, minorities, sports, and tourism.
A gold medalist in Journalism, Dr. Zaman is also a poet, dramatist, and singer. Recently, he also rendered his voice for the official anthem of the University of Peshawar on the occasion of its 75th anniversary.
Mashaal VP termed the award a recognition of Dr. Bakht Zaman’s dedication to journalistic excellence and public service.
