Dera Ismail Khan: Member of the National Assembly, Naima Kanwal, paid a surprise visit to the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) office in Dera Ismail Khan, where she conducted a detailed review of the process for distributing free SIM cards to women beneficiaries.
During the visit, the MNA directly interacted with women present at the office and listened to their complaints regarding the difficulties they face. She expressed strong displeasure over the lack of proper seating arrangements for women, terming the situation unjust and unacceptable.
Taking immediate notice, Naima Kanwal contacted the Director General BISP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the phone and issued clear directives to ensure proper seating facilities for women at the Dera Ismail Khan office without delay. She also instructed the authorities to establish additional centers to facilitate women in obtaining SIM cards smoothly.
Speaking on the occasion, Naima Kanwal emphasized that providing maximum facilities to women is a top priority of the government, and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated. She assured that she would personally monitor the resolution of women’s issues to ensure timely and effective action.
