MARDAN : The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Mardan celebrated International Volunteer Day with great enthusiasm at Women University Mardan. The event brought together senior officials, faculty members, volunteer teachers, and students to acknowledge and promote the spirit of volunteerism.
Dr. Natasha Sumbal Additional Assistant Commissioner Mardan, and Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor of Women University Mardan, graced the ceremony as chief guests. Both dignitaries highlighted the global significance of International Volunteer Day and commended the efforts of NCHD, especially the EOTO (Each One Teach One) initiative aimed at promoting literacy and community development.
The NCHD Mardan team, led by DD Lal Muhammad Toru, Dr. Muhammad Ali (AD), Abid Ali Khan, and Muhammad Ayaz, actively participated in the program. In their remarks, the officials appreciated the dedication of volunteers who continue to contribute selflessly to educational uplift.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the chief guests awarded certificates to volunteer teachers in recognition of their remarkable services. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening volunteer-driven educational programs across the district.
