Peshawar: The newly appointed Inspector General Prisons, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has formally assumed charge of the office. On this occasion, the IG Prisons expressed gratitude to the Provincial Government for reposing confidence in him and termed the appointment a great honor and responsibility.
He stated that serving in this key position is a matter of pride and commitment, and assured that all efforts will be made to improve prison administration, ensure better facilities for inmates, uphold human rights, and strengthen institutional discipline in accordance with the law.
Senior officers and officials of the Prisons Department were present at the time of assuming charge and extended their congratulations. The new IG Prisons emphasized teamwork, transparency, and reforms as his top priorities to enhance the overall performance of the department.
