RAWALPINDI: Renowned author, director, and social activist Asma Butt has stated that she and the artistic community stand in full solidarity with the flood victims during this difficult time. She emphasized that, as always, the Pakistan Army has once again proven itself to be the nation’s true guardian by stepping forward to help those affected by the floods. In her important statement, she expressed sorrow over the devastation caused by floods in Swat and other areas, saying: “Homes have been swept away, businesses destroyed, every eye is filled with tears, and many family members are missing. The artist community stands firmly with our affected brothers and sisters.” Asma Butt said: “I salute the brave soldiers of our Pakistan Army who risked their lives to aid the flood victims. Whenever calamities strike the nation, the Army is always the first to stand with the people.” She added, “We distributed sweets and celebrated when we were victorious against the enemy, but we must never forget that, after ALLAH PAK, it is the Pakistan Army alone that has consistently pulled us out of our darkest hours.” She remarked that public trust in political representatives has eroded. “Our political leaders must come to their senses, set aside all distractions, and focus on helping the flood victims. Everyone should take an active part in relief efforts.” She concluded with an appeal: “I urge all those who are able to help to support our Pakistan Army and the flood victims during this difficult time. I request that collective prayers for the victims be held in homes and mosques. Today, Pakistanis at home and abroad are united under one slogan: Pakistan Zindabad Pakistan Army Paindabad!”
