ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, said that Pakistan and Kashmir are inseparable and essential for each other. He stated that his reason for joining PML-N was the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and his long journey of public service.
Addressing a PML-N Azad Jammu & Kashmir joining ceremony, he said that after the inclusion of Chaudhry Abdul Razzaq and his team, PML-N has become an invincible force in Samahni. He added that when India carried out a cowardly attack, the passion and courage shown by Kashmiris was commendable, and questioned where India would bring such spirit from.
Amir Muqam welcomed guests from the land of martyrs and heroes on behalf of Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the party, and congratulated the AJK leadership for organizing a successful event. He said that record development took place in Azad Kashmir during the tenure of Raja Farooq Haider and PML-N. He recalled that Nawaz Sharif had ensured Kashmir’s inclusion in the NFC Award even before demands were raised.
He said peace in the region is impossible without giving Kashmir its due rights, and that India’s attempts to manipulate river waters would be responded to. He praised the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and said that under the command of Chief of Defence Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s armed forces made history, enhancing the country’s dignity globally.
Amir Muqam reiterated that the Kashmir issue would continue to be raised until resolved according to the will of the Kashmiri people. He said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is advocating the Kashmir cause worldwide and that educational initiatives like Danish Schools, laptop distribution, and equal facilities for Kashmiri students are government priorities.
Speaking on the occasion, newly joined PML-N leader Chaudhry Abdul Razzaq announced his formal inclusion in the party. He praised the performance of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and expressed confidence that under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, Pakistan would overcome its challenges.
