Peshawar Reviews Family Welfare Performance

PESHAWAR: A performance review meeting of Family Welfare Assistants from all welfare centers in District Peshawar was held under the chairmanship of District Population Welfare Officer (DPWO), Samiullah Khan Khalil. The meeting was attended by Deputy District Population Welfare Officer Kashif Fida and Family Welfare Assistants from all welfare centers.

During the meeting, the monthly performance of female Family Welfare Assistants across District Peshawar was assessed, and strategies for further improvement were discussed. On this occasion, DPWO Samiullah Khan Khalil presented the department’s monthly performance targets, which include services such as the provision of contraceptives, maternal and child health, and public awareness campaigns regarding family planning.

Samiullah Khalil instructed the female Family Welfare Assistants to fulfill their responsibilities diligently and to ensure regular attendance. He emphasized that no negligence would be tolerated during field visits by the district office. He also directed all assistants to provide door-to-door awareness about family planning.

He further stated that the primary objective of the Population Welfare Department is to raise public awareness regarding family planning and to bring about positive behavioral changes. The department is making continuous efforts to deliver its message effectively by utilizing all available media platforms. Any form of negligence in the discharge of duties will not be accepted.
