President Tokayev Welcomes Iran’s Decision to Renounce Attacks on Neighboring States

  • Kazakhstan views Tehran’s announcement as a positive step toward easing regional tensions while continuing efforts to evacuate its citizens from the Middle East conflict zone.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan has welcomed a recent statement by Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, announcing that the Interim Leadership Council has decided to renounce attacks on neighboring countries.

According to Presidential Adviser and Press Secretary Aibek Smadiyarov, President Tokayev views the decision as an important and constructive step toward reducing tensions and promoting stability in the Middle East.

Kazakhstan has consistently supported diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and peaceful dialogue in the region. The Kazakh leadership expressed hope that such initiatives would contribute to strengthening regional security and fostering cooperation among neighboring states.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, in coordination with other relevant government institutions, continues ongoing efforts to evacuate Kazakh citizens from areas affected by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safety and safe return of Kazakh nationals from the region.
