Bajaur : Serious allegations have surfaced regarding irregularities in the recent recruitments in the Health Department, where merit was allegedly violated, and candidates were hired through hefty bribes instead of deserving applicants. The revelations were made by affected youth during a press conference at the Bajaur Press Club, where they demanded justice.
According to details, tests for paramedical recruitments in the Health Department were conducted through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA). However, despite several months of delay, the merit list was never displayed. Following interventions by the Secretariat and the Deputy Commissioner of Bajaur, the District Health Officer (DHO) Bajaur posted only a few names on the notice board without providing any details, and the very next day the recruitment was announced.
Affected candidates, including Dr. Samiullah, Dr. Irshad, Bilal, Muhammad Zahid, and others, claimed that their investigation revealed massive corruption. They alleged that the DHO Bajaur received between 2 to 2.5 million rupees per recruitment, hiring individuals who had even failed the test – and in some cases, candidates who had not appeared for the test at all.
The protestors appealed to the Chief Minister, Director General Health, and other relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the scandal, expose the corruption in Bajaur’s Health Department, and ensure justice for the deserving candidates
