CHITRAL: On the special instructions of the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reached Chitral to provide relief assistance to families affected by the recent escalation along the Pak-Afghan international border.
The PRCS KP team distributed relief goods among victims in the Arandu area of Drosh Tehsil, Lower Chitral. The relief packages included essential food items such as rice, pulses, sugar, tea, and dates, along with kitchen kits to support affected households.
PRCS Provincial Secretary Abid Rehman Marwat supervised the distribution of relief goods to 300 affected families in the presence of the district administration. Additional Assistant Commissioner Lower Chitral Khalil Ullah was also present on the occasion.
Among others in attendance were Director Operations PRCS KP Muhammad Iqbal, District Secretary Lower Dir Muhammad Salam, and District Secretary Chitral Ijaz-ur-Rehman.

During the visit, the PRCS KP team conveyed Governor Faisal Karim Kundi’s message to the victims, assuring them that all possible assistance would continue for the affected families in Chitral. The district administration and local residents expressed gratitude to the Governor for the timely humanitarian support.
Later, PRCS Provincial Secretary Abid Rehman Marwat, along with his team, visited the TDPs camp, where they received a detailed briefing about the situation of the displaced families. He conveyed the Governor’s message to the TDPs and assured them that their issues and problems would be addressed on a priority basis, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ongoing humanitarian assistance.
