PESHAWAR: The 4th Development Review Meeting for the financial year 2025–26 was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs, Saadat Hassan, at the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to Department Spokesperson Muhammad Huzaifa, the meeting was attended by senior officials and representatives from the Planning & Development Department (P&D), Directorate of Works, Directorate of Sports, and Directorate of Youth Affairs.
During the session, the Secretary was presented with comprehensive progress reports on ongoing, newly approved, and under-consideration projects. The reports included updates on budgetary allocations, implementation challenges, and completion timelines.
Key initiatives discussed included the establishment of futsal grounds, martial arts arenas, horse riding clubs, Jawan marakiz, and polo grounds, as well as the provision of missing facilities at Jamrud Sports Complex. The forum also reviewed plans for constructing playgrounds at the union council level to encourage youth participation in healthy activities across both urban and rural areas.
Secretary Saadat Hassan appreciated the dedication of the concerned officers and directed them to accelerate work on all ongoing and pending projects, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and transparency. He reiterated the department’s commitment to providing modern sports infrastructure and empowering youth throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in line with the provincial government’s vision for youth development.
