KOHAT: A Divisional Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference was held on Wednesday at the District Council Hall KDA in Kohat as part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Rabi-ul-Awwal Celebrations. The event was chaired by the Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah, with the Chairman District Development Advisory Committee Shafi Jan MPA as the chief guest.
Senior government officials, scholars, local dignitaries and a large number of students attended the conference.
The proceedings opened with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naats in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. A divisional-level Qirat and Naat competition was also held, judged by the prominent religious figures of the Division.
Speakers in their addresses, highlighted different aspects of the Oswa-e-Hasnnah of the Holy Prophet’s ﷺ, stressing that His Teachings provide guidance for all the humanity. They underscored the need to familiarize youth with the Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ and to shape their character in line with the Islamic values. Such conferences, they said, foster social harmony, moral values and unity among Muslims.
In the Qirat competition, Muhammad Hassan secured 1st position, Muhammad Mustafa 2nd and Qari Muhammad Ammar 3rd. In the Naat competition, Kamal Hussain won the 1st place, while Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Bilal shared 2nd place and Rizwanullah Shakir stood 3rd.
The Cash Prizes of Rs. 80,000 for the 1st position, Rs. 60,000 for the 2nd and Rs. 40,000 for the 3rd along with certificates of appreciation were awarded to the winners.
At the end, the chief guest and other dignitaries distributed cash awards and prayed for national security, prosperity and the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
