Speakers pay rich tribute to Pakistan Armed Forces and martyrs.

PESHAWAR: Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a spectacu- lar ceremony to mark the 78th Independence Day with national enthusim and zeal and War of the truth (Marak- e-Haq). Traders and people, espe- cially children from differ- ent walks of life flock to the chamber to celebrate the fes- tivity. A splendor display of national patriotism and national unity demonstrat- ed their immeasurable love for their country during the event. Participants on the occasion paid great homage and respect to the national anthem by standing ova- tion. National songs that were run on a joint screen also charged the participants and they chanted full-throated slogans Long Live Pakistan [Pakistan Zindabadl, and paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Army in remark- able success in battle of truth. Participants shed light on the unmatched sac- rifices and lauded struggle of Daily Times Peshawar. Speakers offered on the occasion special prayers for unity, peace, prosperity and development of the country. The festivity formally began with SCCI president Fazal Moqeem Khan after hoisting a national flag at the building of the chamber house. Chairman Anjuman e Tajran Peshawar for lifetime and former president of the chamber Haji Muhammad Afzal, former senior vice president Sanaullah Khan, member of the SCCI’s execu- tive committee Aftab Iqbal, Ashfaq Ahmad, Saifullah Khan, Nadeem Rauf, Cul Muqtasid Ahsan, chamber officials, staff and others were present in a large num- ber on the occasion. Fazal Moqeem while speaking during the event stated that the business community is proud to cele- brate 78th Independence enemy would harm it. One of the most significant to this year, along with celebrating Independence Day, we mark the splendorous victory of the Marka-e-Haq [the battle of truth] which once again proved that when Pakistan stands united, no martyrs is freedom of our lives and paid rich tribute to martyrs and warriors which deployed for protection of the country’s frontiers and internal security, and their sacrifices as castle of our sovereignty. Pakistan armed forces are fully capable of giving a befitting response to enemy aggression, and will never be alone, and the whole nation stands with its own armed forces, Fazal Moqeem remarked. The chamber president said Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with Kashmiris and Palestinians in their struggle for right to self- determination, stating that this pledge isn’t mere a word or statement but an unwavering commitment on ethic, diplomatic and human grounds and vowed to continue raise voice for their rights in light with UN resolutions and International justice, until become freedom of their des- tine. Let’s us make a pledge today by sitting aside all kind of difference to break the chains of poverty, depri- vation, downtrodden would make unified efforts for the country’s peace, prosperity, progress and its pride and image and make Pakistan that will practical thinking of the vision of founder Qaid E Azam and Allama Iqbal.
