Music shows, poetry recitals, special songs, and a Swat documentary among colorful productions highlighting regional culture

In line with the vision of Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Managing Director of Pakistan Television (PTV) Ashfaq Khalil, efforts are underway to promote regional programming on Pakistan Television and effectively highlight the cultures, languages, and traditions of all provinces of the country.
Since assuming office, MD PTV Ashfaq Khalil has brought renewed energy and spirit to the program departments of all PTV centers. Under his leadership, different centers have been revitalized and assigned clear targets for producing regional and creative content.
Following this vision, General Manager of PTV Peshawar Centre, Ibrahim Kamal, successfully achieved these objectives through professional competence, dedication, and hard work, ensuring the production of high-quality programs.
At PTV National Peshawar Centre, special programs related to Eid-ul-Fitr have been recorded, including music shows, comedy skits, Pashto and Hindko poetry recitals, and programs focusing on Eid preparations.
A special Pashto music show titled “Raghley Pasarlay” has also been recorded. The program is produced by Asif Khattak and hosted by Dr. Hamza Jamshed and Salma Swati. Renowned singers Heer Khan, Sab Noor, Junaid, Kamran, Irfan Kamal, Hashmat Sahar, and Asfandyar Momand participated in the show.
Colorful Eid transmissions also include a Pashto Mushaira hosted by Muhammad Iqbal Shakir, featuring poets Zafar Khan Zafar, Gohar Ali Gohar, Fazal Mehboob Saim Dastar, Yousafzai, Shamshad Angar, Asif Bismil, and Syed Tahir Shah Tahir.
Similarly, a Hindko Mushaira was recorded and hosted by Malik Arshad Hussain, with poets Ahmad Rani, Sabhi Gul Arbab, Dr. Khadim, Ibrahim Naseem Sahar, Nadeem Awan, and Nawaz Sabir presenting their poetry.
Program producer Syed Khalid Hussain Shah recorded a special Eid preparations program for PTV Home, hosted by Nauman Rauf and Khadija Ayaz.
In addition, a special Pashto song focusing on Eid and the spring season has been recorded. The song is produced by Program Manager Jahanzeb Yousafzai and will be aired in the voice of renowned singer Ayesha Aftab.
On the occasion of Eid, special live programs will also be broadcast on PTV National, featuring prominent artists, singers, and distinguished personalities from various walks of life.
General Manager Ibrahim Kamal has also paid special attention to the transmissions for March 23, Pakistan Day. In this regard, a beautiful documentary on the Swat Valley titled “A Valley of a Thousand Colors (Swat)” has been produced and will be presented especially for viewers.
