Sports Advisor Reviews Preparations at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium for National T20

PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Sports and Youth Affairs, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand, visited the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium on Wednesday to review preparations for the upcoming National T20 Tournament commencing in Ramadan.

He was accompanied by Secretary Sports Muhammad Asif and Director General Sports Tashfeen Haider.

During the visit, the Sports Advisor conducted a detailed inspection of ground preparation, security arrangements, spectator facilities, and other administrative measures being finalized for the tournament. He expressed satisfaction over the overall arrangements and appreciated the performance of the Sports Department.

On the occasion, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand announced that Pakistan Super League and National T20 matches will be held at the stadium this year, terming it good news for cricket fans in Peshawar and across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He stated that the revival of sports activities in the terrorism-affected province is a positive development. The provincial government, he added, is taking proactive steps to develop sports infrastructure and provide healthy activities for the youth.

The Advisor further emphasized that under the vision of founding chairman Imran Khan and the leadership of Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi, provision of quality sports facilities to the youth remains a top priority, with all available resources being utilized to promote sports across the province.
