PESHAWAR: Exciting and action-packed matches continue in the All Pakistan Dostan Football League, with participating teams delivering outstanding performances and securing impressive victories.
In the opening match, Darra Football Club defeated Pakistan Police 3-1, earning great applause from the spectators. In the second match, Atish Dostan Football Club Tank outclassed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Board with a convincing 4-1 victory.
The third encounter saw Peshawar Football Club dominate MAK Football Club with a 4-1 win, while in the fourth match, DFA Bannu secured a strong 4-2 victory against Khyber Green.
Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Sports, Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand, attended the event as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Secretary Sports Muhammad Asif, Director General Sports KP Tashfeen Haider, and Regional Sports Officer and Tournament Director Sajid Afridi, along with other distinguished guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Sports Minister Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand said the government is taking practical steps to promote football and other sports in the province. He emphasized that such events provide young players with valuable opportunities to showcase their talent and encourage them towards positive activities.
Secretary Sports Muhammad Asif also highlighted the importance of such tournaments, stating that events like the All Pakistan Dostan Football League play a key role in improving the standard of sports in the country. He added that the government is committed to providing modern facilities to athletes to help them excel at both national and international levels.
