Peshawar:
The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that Women’s Entrepreneurship Day will be celebrated nationwide on December 3, 2025. The main ceremony will be held at the State Bank in Karachi, where Governor Jameel Ahmad will address the gathering, while similar events will also take place in 16 field offices across the country, including Peshawar.

The purpose of observing this day is to promote women’s financial inclusion, business development, and innovation. During last year’s campaign, more than 1,500 women were reached, financing worth Rs. 24 billion was provided, and over 800 business ideas were received.

Under WED 2025, awareness sessions, mentorship programs, and account-opening drives will be organized nationwide. Winners of the business idea competition will receive awards at the main ceremony, while women entrepreneurs and banks will also be recognized in various categories.

Heads of the banking industry, representatives of partner organizations, and prominent women entrepreneurs are expected to participate in the central event. Around 30 to 35 stalls showcasing women-led businesses will also be set up on the occasion.
