PESHAWAR: Syed Fakhar Jehan formally assumed charge as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control on Monday, here at Peshawar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Provincial Minister expressed his gratitude to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Chairman Imran Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mohammad Sohail Afridi for reposing confidence in him and including him once again in the provincial cabinet.
He said his reappointment as Minister was a matter of great pride not only for him but also for the people of Buner and the workers of PTI.
Highlighting his previous tenure, Syed Fakhar Jehan said that during his earlier assignment as Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, he served the public with dedication and commitment and earned the trust of the people through his performance.
He added that he would now perform his responsibilities of public services in new dymention of Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control with the same zeal and determination to ensure continuity in public service and to put this important sector on the path of progress and efficiency.
The Minister also extended heartfelt thanks to the people of his constituency and party workers for their continuous support and trust, which enabled him to once again serve the public.
He said that the trust reposed in him by PTI Founder Chairman Imran Khan and Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi was a great honour and he prayed for strength and wisdom to fulfill his new responsibilities in the best possible manner.
