Peshawar: Emphasizing the pivotal role of technical and vocational education in national progress, Chief Coordinator Officer of Shawal Institute of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Engineer Khan Bahadur Wazir, has said that in the modern era, technical education has become the backbone of a nation’s economic and industrial development.
He expressed these views during the visit of Ahmed Shahzad, a Saudi Arabia–based Safety Manager, to Shawal Institute Peshawar. During the visit, Ahmed Shahzad held a detailed meeting with CEO Engineer Khan Bahadur Wazir, toured various departments of the institute, and conducted an interactive session with students. He also provided international-standard career counseling and professional guidance to aspiring technicians.
Speaking on the occasion, Engineer Khan Bahadur Wazir said that in today’s rapidly evolving industrial and digital world, skilled professionals are essential for strengthening the national economy and creating dignified employment opportunities for the youth. He added that technical education equips young people with practical skills, professional confidence, and pathways toward self-employment.
He further highlighted that Shawal Institute Peshawar is committed to delivering modern, market-driven, and globally competitive technical training, enabling students to demonstrate their capabilities not only at the national level but also in the international job market.
Engineer Khan Bahadur Wazir urged the government, industrial sector, and educational institutions to give top priority to technical and vocational education to develop a skilled workforce and accelerate Pakistan’s journey toward sustainable development.
Concluding his remarks, he said that Shawal Institute Peshawar is providing a strong platform for the youth by offering hands-on training and mentorship from experienced faculty, helping students build successful and respectable professional careers.
