The ACC U-19 Asia Cup will begin in the UAE on December 12. Teams from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will participate in this tournament for the 12th time. Bangladesh is participating in the Asia Cup for the 11th time and Afghanistan for the 10th time. India has won this cup the most times, 8 times. Bangladesh has won this championship twice while Pakistan and Afghanistan have won this championship once each. Farhan Yousuf will lead Pakistan in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup. Usman Khan will be the vice-captain. The tournament will be played in Dubai from December 12 to 21.
Pakistan is in Group ‘A’ along with India, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.
Pakistan’s first match will be played against UAE at the Sevens Stadium on December 12th.
The second match will be played against India on December 14 at the ICC Academy.
The third group match is scheduled for December 16 against the United Arab Emirates.
The semi-finals will be played on December 19, and the final on December 21.
Usman Khan will be the vice-captain in the event. Other players include Abdul Subhan, Ahmed Hussain, Ali Hassan Baloch, Ali Raza, Daniyal Ali Khan, Hamza Zahoor, Huzaifa Ahsan. Momin Qamar, Muhammad Huzaifa, Muhammad Sayyam, Muhammad Shayan, Niqab Shafiq, Sameer Minhas are also part of the squad.
The supporting staff will include Sarfaraz Ahmed (Manager/Mentor), Shahid Anwar (Head Coach/Batting Coach), Rao Iftikhar (Bowling Coach), Mansoor Amjad (Fielding Coach), Abrar Ahmed (Trainer), Obaidullah (Physio) and Ali Hamza (Analyst).
